Our decision to move back to a made to order system

Read all about our decision to move back to a made to order system (and a general thank you)!

With the final launch of our SS22 collection underway, we wanted to go in-depth regarding our decision to return to a made to order system. And just a general thank you to everyone who has supported us throughout Rebecca's maternity; we can’t thank you all enough for continuing to support our wee brand while we have navigated running a business with a new baby!

Our SS22 collection has been so much fun to work on, and has been one of our favourites to date! Although it hasn’t been easy, juggling a brand new collection with some new pieces, and revisiting some old patterns, and a brand new baby too! This SS22 collection was designed back at the tail end of 2021 and we released our first drop of it in February 2022. Since we are a very small team, we did not have the means to drop it all at once. Therefore, we decided to release it in three drops over three months. As we've mentioned before, whilst Rebecca has been on maternity, I have been running the social media side, and the general runnings behind the scenes, and we have enlisted the help of freelance seamstresses to make small batches every week or so to keep the stock levels high.

Therefore, last April we made the move from made to order, to small batch drops as we knew that Rebecca would be going on maternity. While this has worked whilst Rebecca has been away, she will be coming back into the studio slowly but surely, and we know that small batch drops can be very frustrating if you want a particular size in something and it sells out in minutes. We want to be completely transparent with you all and let you know that we have made the decision to move back to made to order, with some limited edition small batch drops here and there, meaning that we will still be utilising our extremely talented freelance seamstresses in the making of our garments.

Making the move back to made to order allows those who have missed out on sizes in one of our drops, won’t then have to wait for another batch to try and secure their size. Plus, no more waiting at your laptop at 5pm scrambling to find your card and frantically putting in your address and card details! Therefore, any garments sold from here on in will be on a made to order basis, meaning that there will be a 4 week waiting period after purchase. Simply order a piece whenever works for you, and it will be made in house, and it’ll be yours within 4 weeks.

We hope everyone understands and is happy with our decision. As mentioned earlier, we appreciate everyone that has supported us while Rebecca has been on maternity and I’ve been looking after the brand.

If you have any questions regarding our new process, please send us a DM or an email, and we will be happy to help!
